Born to Alexander G. MAcIntosh and Grace Millicent MacIntosh, Buster, as he was known to his friends enlisted at a young age. He went overseas with the Governor General’s Foot Guards,  Royal Canadian Armoured Corps and was killed during the battle of Normandy on August 14th, 1944 at the age of 25. Lance Corporal  Gordon Stuart MacIntosh of 21 Armoured Regiment 2 is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize, Calvados, France.

His mother, Millicent received the Mother’s Silver cross.
