Along the trails

Starting from various points in L’Orignal you can access paved, low-traffic roads which will take you through scenic countryside dotted with prosperous farms.  Each of these roads can connect you with another village, such as Alfred, Vankleek Hill, the Town of Hawkesbury and the village of Lefaivre (where a ferry can take cyclists across to La Route verte on the Québec side of the river).  Another option is to access the Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail, built on a former railway line.   This cycling trail, surfaced with stone dust, offers 72 km of varied terrain.  To learn more about cycling trails in L’Orignal, and in Prescott and Russell Counties, visit :   and
