Kingsbury House
Description

This very large house was built circa 1890 on what was formerly Évanturel Road, for the purpose of having a hotel near the train station. However, that project was never realized even though the railroad passed just a few meters from the house. Passengers taking the train to Ottawa certainly stopped here.
In 1960, at just sixteen years of age, Jean-Guy Kingsbury bought this dairy farm from Israel Leclair. Jean-Guy's son Paul took possession of the property in July 2004. Paul, Amélie and their children now operate this 300-acre farm. Including leased farmland, they manage a total of 700 acres, some of which grow hay, soybeans, corn and grain (barley and wheat) and the rest provide pasture for their dairy cows.
