Our village

Located on the Ottawa River east of Ottawa, L'Orignal has a rich heritage rooted in the distant past of New France and Upper Canada. L'Orignal offers its residents a quality lifestyle, quiet streets, and affordable family housing, whether in the village or rural areas. The village is proud to have a well-rated elementary school, daycare for children, plenty of outdoor recreation, services for seniors, including a long-term care residence. There is easy access to excellent shopping, professional and medical services, and a highly rated hospital. Activities for all ages include parks, beaches, a marina, fishing, biking and hiking trails, snowmobiling, cross country skiing.

La Baie Run – 8th annual

Community run with 1 km, 5 km, 10 km and 21.1 km distances. Most proceeds go to the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation, with a portion going to Les Roadrunners Athletics Club.
