Gordon Stuart (Buster) MacIntosh

1919-1944

Son of Alexander G. MacIntosh and Grace Millicent MacIntosh, Gordon Stuart — known as Buster — enlisted at a young age.

Sent overseas with the Governor General’s Foot Guards, Royal Canadian Armoured Corps, Buster was killed during the Battle of Normandy on August 14th, 1944, at 25 years old. Lance Corporal Gordon Stuart MacIntosh of the 21st Armoured Regiment 2 is buried at the Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery in Calvados, France.

His mother, Millicent, received the Mother’s Silver cross.
