Son of Alexander G. MacIntosh and Grace Millicent MacIntosh, Gordon Stuart — known as Buster — enlisted at a young age.

Sent overseas with the Governor General’s Foot Guards, Royal Canadian Armoured Corps, Buster was killed during the Battle of Normandy on August 14^th, 1944, at 25 years old. Lance Corporal Gordon Stuart MacIntosh of the 21st Armoured Regiment 2 is buried at the Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery in Calvados, France.

His mother, Millicent, received the Mother’s Silver cross.
