The directory allows members to submit content. Members are required to not:

    • does not belong to them, or for which they do not have the necessary rights for its publication or transmission;
    • is in violation of any law, rule, regulation or the rights of third parties, or which promotes illegal activity or conduct that would violate any law, rule, regulation or the rights of third parties;
    • is abusive, hateful, homophobic, discriminatory, malicious, aggressive, threatening, violent, sexist, harassing, inflammatory, indecent, criminal, defamatory, knowingly false, deceptive, deluding, vulgar, obscene, offensive, scandalous, sexually explicit, rude or otherwise objectionable;
    • incites hatred, racism, bigotry or physical harm of any kind;
    • violates any confidential information;
    • contains personal data or information about other people;
    • could result in us being liable to anyone under any intellectual property rights law.

While we may verify the information contained in the Directory, we are not obligated to take any action with respect to the content published in the Directory, such as checking and updating links to external websites.

While we strive to provide quality links to useful and ethical websites, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, relevance, timeliness or completeness of the information contained therein. Site owners and content are subject to change without notice.

In the directory, you will find links to other websites and certain social media platforms offered by our members. It should be noted that providing a link does not in any way imply that Patrimoine L’Orignal-Longueuil Heritage endorses or recommends the service.

Conditions of membership

Members of L’Orignal’s repertoire

Members

To become a member of L’Orignal’s directory, you must :

  • be a business, organization or individual located in L’Orignal or the immediate area;
  • offer a service to residents or visitors of the village of L’Orignal or the immediate area;

Membership period

Membership in the directory runs from January 1 to December 31.

A member of the L’Orignal directory will remain in good standing if he or she renews his or her membership by March 31st of the current year.

Online Membership Application

When applying online, you will either have a confirmation page on your screen or receive an email. The confirmation message confirming receipt and processing of your application does not mean that your application has been approved. Your directory membership will only begin once the application is completed and payment is received.

Membership types and rates

Please refer to the Become a member page (link to page) for details related to the different packages offered.

  • Rates are subject to change without notice.
  • You will receive a receipt by email once your application is processed and payment is received.

Methods of payment

Payments are made via Paypal. We therefore invite you to read its policies and conditions of use.

Information display

Each member of the L’Orignal directory has a unique username and web account that he or she can activate and use during the term of his or her membership.

Through this Web account, you can control and update all the information displayed in the directory, depending on your membership package.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you wish to cancel your membership in the directory, you must send us a cancellation request by email or mail.

Membership cancellations are accepted until March 1st of the current year.

Loss of data

Patrimoine L’Orignal-Longueuil Heritage is not responsible for the security of your Web account or the content of your account. Use of the site is at your own risk.

Content submitted by members

The directory allows you and other members to submit content. Under no circumstances should you :

  • mislead us or anyone else as to your identity or the origin of the content submitted, nor falsely state that you represent a person, organization or entity;
  • post or transmit any message, content or link to content that :
    • does not belong to you, or for which you do not have the necessary rights for its publication or transmission;
    • is in violation of any law, rule, regulation or the rights of third parties, or which promotes illegal activity or conduct that would violate any law, rule, regulation or the rights of third parties;
    • is abusive, hateful, homophobic, discriminatory, malicious, aggressive, threatening, violent, sexist, harassing, inflammatory, indecent, criminal, defamatory, knowingly false, deceptive, deluding, vulgar, obscene, offensive, scandalous, sexually explicit, vulgar or otherwise objectionable;
    • incites hatred, racism, bigotry or physical harm of any kind;
    • violates any confidential information;
    • contains personal data or information about other people;
    • could result in us being liable to anyone under any intellectual property rights law.

By submitting your content, you agree to grant us the right to do with it as we see fit and to allow users of our website to do with it, in both cases without any notice, acknowledgement or compensation to you (except in the case of personal information, in which case our right to do with it as we see fit is subject to the terms of our Privacy Statement. You also agree to waive, with respect to the Submitted Content, your moral rights as an author under copyright law.

Although we may verify the information contained in the directory, we are not obligated to take any action with respect to the content published therein, such as verifying and updating links to external websites, for example. However, we reserve the right to remove, revise or move at any time any content posted in the directory that does not comply with these terms of membership, or for any other reason we deem appropriate. Such content may result in a one-time warning and – if the situation is not remedied immediately – termination of your membership without refund or further notice.

We will cooperate with law enforcement officials and obey any court order in connection with any claim or investigation arising from any content posted or activity undertaken on our website. To this end, we will provide the content in question, as well as information concerning your identity and any other relevant information.
