Old Post Office
Description

Built in 1826 by Frederic Winters, this building is one of the oldest in L’Orignal. This private residence was originally a general store and later served as a post office for many years.

Conrad Dubois, a First World War veteran, was the postmaster for a long time. He even received an unusual package: a German soldier’s helmet taken in Apeldoorn, Holland, and sent to L’Orignal as a souvenir!
