Built in 1874 on land sold by John W. Marston, this building served as a registry office, administered by the United Counties of Prescott and Russell until 1969, and subsequently, by the Province of Ontario until 1981. A vault provided security for registered documents such as titles of land ownership. The registry office then was moved to the basement of the United Counties building; later, it was moved to Hawkesbury.
Now, the renovated building serves as the Provincial Offences Court.
