10. Poulin House
This residence was built in the Queen Anne style for general merchant Basile Roch Poulin, who also owned a weekly newspaper “The Prescott and Russell Advocate”, published in L’Orignal for over 50 years.
Mr. Poulin played a crucial role in the development of the village. A pleasing addition to his home is the stylized fleur-de-lys atop a dome dominating the roofline.
For many decades, Armand and Germaine Landriault (the latter a talented organist and piano teacher) lived in this house. After their deaths, their son Rodrigue opened his law office in the family home.
Operated briefly as a B & B, this historic building is now the legal office of Yves Jubinville, a criminal lawyer.
